On Monday 22 April, EcoNation is selected as ‘Bloomberg New Energy Pioneer’ during Bloomberg’s Finance Summit in New York. EcoNation is the only European company that made it into the winners’ list.

October 2012 – In a record speed of less than ten days, EcoNation installs over 140 LightCatchers on the roof of the new distribution centre of Scania in Opglabbeek, Belgium. The building’s total roof surface is no less than 38,500m².
In September 2012, VITO, the Flemish institute for technological research, published the results of a long-term lighting study. For nine months the LightCatcher was continuously subjected to light measurements in a specially developed test installation (see photograph). The light outputs were measured on different ceiling heights and different floor surfaces. Such long-term research that investigates the performance of a system over all seasons is unique in the world.
LightCatcher still regarded as ‘Best Available Technology’ and outstanding energy solution – according to independent research from Belgium to Singapore.
